Nom an object with a large mass may not always have a large weight. Mass can be defined as the amount of matter that the object contains, whereas the weight of the object is equal to its mass multiplied by the force of gravity. Although this concept means that the mass and weight of an object are not always directly proportional. One example in order to picture out the concept is a large chunk of cotton. By looking at the cotton, we can say that it contains a very large mass, although when you weigh the cotton, it does not weigh that much.
