In order to form a triangle, we know that the sum of the 2 lengths should be longer than the other length.

If we have 3 lengths, 2cm, 2cm and 6cm, that is not a triangle because 6cm > 2+2 so 6>4cm.

If we have 3cm, 6cm , 9 cm, this cant be a triangle as well because 9 is equal to 3+6 so 9=9.

If we have 4cm, 8cm and 5cm, this would be a triangle because:

8 <4+5

4<8+5

5<8+4

So the side lengths, 4cm, 8cm, 5cm can form a triangle.
