In simplest term, predator is an organism that eats other organism as their source of food. While Prey is the organism that the predator eats. The relationship between predator and prey is important to their survival. Predator balances the population of prey to bring order. An environment with out a predator is an environment that is not sustainable and soon will be destroyed due to the imbalance.
