Given the inequality:

(x-3)(x+5)≤0

Determine the solution of the inequality/

Solution:

We can determine its solution individually.

(x-3)(x+5)≤0

(x-3)≤0

Transpose -3 on the other side of the equation. It must be noted that when transposing a number, the sign changes

x ≤ 3

x+5 ≤0

Transpose 5 on the other side of the equation, therefore it will become -5

x ≤ -5

The solution for the inequalities are;  x≤ 3 and  x ≤ -5
