-3( 4 + 2) 

Find the equivalent.

Solution.

In order to solve for the equivalent of the expression we simply equate it to zero and multiply 3 to each corresponding numbers in the parenthesis.

-3(4  + 2) = 0

-12 + 6 = 0

= -6

Therefore, -3 (4 + 2) = 6
