We have,

7x + 5y = 19         …..1

-7x – 2y =-16       ……2

Using elimination method:

Adding equation 1 and 2, we get

7x + 5y - 7x -2y = 19 - 16

3y = 3

y = 3/3

y = 1

Now, putting value of y in equation 1, we get

7x + 5(1) = 19

7x + 5 = 19

7x = 19 - 5

7x = 14

x = 14/7

x = 2

Thus, solution of 7x + 5y = 19 and -7x – 2y =-16 is (2.1)
