the equation of vertex form :- y=a(x-k)^2+h

here, (k,h) are the points of vertex and (x,y) are the points that passing through the line

so (k,h)= (-2,5) and (x,y)=(3,-10)

put these values in the equation :- y=a(x-k)^2+h

-10=a(3-(-2))^2+5

-10=a(3+2)^2+5

-10=25a+5

-10-5=25a

-20=25a

a= -4/5

put this value in the equation:-

y=-4/5(x-(-2))^2+5

y=-4/5(x+2)^2+5 (Answer)
