Let the larger number be x

And, smaller number be y

Then, according to question

x + y = 361 ….1

x - y = 173 ….2

Now, adding equation 1 and 2, we get

x + y + x - y = 361 + 173

2x = 534

x = 534/2

x = 267

Now, putting value of x in equation 1

267 + y = 361

y = 361 - 267

y = 94

Hence, the numbers are 267 and 94
