Plants and trees are very important for our life . Plants are producers — they take energy from the sun, nutrients from the ground, and water to grow and produce their flowers, seeds, and berries. They also release oxygen, which all animals, including humans, need to survive. Animals are consumers and they all depend on plants for survival.Plants and animals depend on each other because in the ecological systems present on earth, it is impossible for any species to survive alone. Animals depend on plants for various reasons. For example, plants are the primary producers of food. Plants also take in carbon dioxide and produce oxygen in return. Similarly, plants depend on animals for reasons like dispersal of fruits and seeds, pollination, and for the carbon dioxide that is produced by animals. In this way, both plants and animals are interdependent on each other.
