Let the the larger number be x

And, smaller number be y

then, according to question

x+y=25

=> x=-y+25 ….1

x= 2y+7 …….2

Using elimination method:

subtracting the first equation from the second, we get

x-x = 2y +7 -(-y+25)

0 = 2y +7 + y -25

0=3y-18

3y = 18

y = 18/3

y=6

Now, putting value of y in equation 1, we get

x = -6 + 25

x=19

Hence, two numbers are 19 and 6.
