We have,

3x² + 4x + 8 = 0

We know, standard form of quadratic equation is ax² + bx + c = 0

So, a = 3 , b = 4 and c = 8

Formula :

x =( -b ± √b² - 4ac)/2a

Putting values, we get

x = (-4 ±  √4² - 4×3×8)/2×3

x = (-4 ±  √16 -96)/6

x = (-4 ±  √-80)/6

No real solutions present since square root of -80 is not real.
