In order to find the LCM of a number, there are two ways to do that.

First is the listing method. List the multiple of the numbers ascendingly, in order to determine what are their Least Common Multiple.

Given the numbers 12, and 15

12, 24, 36, 48, 60, 72, 84, 96

15, 30, 45, 60, 75, 90, 105

It can be seen the 60 is a multiple of 12, and 15, meaning that it is their Least Common Multiple.

Another way is to determine whether the large number is a factor of the smaller number. In the case of the given numbers, 15 is not a factor of 12 therefore this method is not applicable.
