Distribution property is a property of numerical equations, whereas a value is distributed to its corresponding parenthesis. When we say distributed, it basically means that we're multiplying a value to each value inside the parenthesis, or bracket.
Example:
2 (3x + 6)
= 6x + 12
3 (12 + 2)
= 36 + 6
= 42
