In this situation, where a line segment JK divided by a point E in ratio a:b and coordinates of E are (x,y) then equation for the coordinates of point Eis:-
x= bx1+ax2 / a+b and y=by1+ay2 / a+b where (x1 , y1) are coordinates of J and (x2,y2) are coordinates of K and a:b =1:4
put all the values in this equation :- x=4(x1)+1(x2) / 1+4
x=4x1+x2 / 5
y=4(y1)+1(y2) / 1+4
y=4y1+y2 / 5
so, coordinates of E(x,y)= (4x1+x2 / 5 , 4y1+y2 / 5)
