Treaty of Versailles contributed to the rise of Nazi party. The Treaty of Versailles forced Germany to cede all of its overseas colonies and some of its territory to Belgium, Czechoslovakia and Poland. Germany signed the Treaty of Versailles on June 28, 1919 and defined the new territories of Germany. Allied Forces imposed heavy war reparations to Germany making them responsible for the damages. Due to the harsh conditions imposed by the Treaty of Versailles massive unemployment and starvation spread across Germany and as a result gave rise to the National Socialist German Workers or Nazi party.
