given that:- There are a total of 64 students in a drama club and a yearbook club. The drama club has 10 more students than the yearbook club.

Let x represent the number of students in the drama club and y represent the number of students in the yearbook club

so, number of students in the drama club +number of students in the yearbook club= total students

x+y=64…………equation (1)

now,  drama club has 10 more students than the yearbook club. it means, x=y+10……………equation(2)

now put the value of equation(2) in equation (1)

x+y=64

y+10+y=64

2y=64-10

2y=54

y=54/2

y=27      (number of students in the yearbook club)

now put this value in equation (1)

x+27=64

x=64-27

x=37   (number of students in the drama club)
