Let one grade students take the school bus to school=x

Now, two grade students take the school bus to school=524-x (remaining students from total students are of grade two)

now if ratio of grade one and two students=4/7

then, x/524-x = 4/7

now cross multiply the values:-

x(7) = 4(524-x)

7x=2096-4x

7x+4x=2096

11x=2096

x=2096/11

x=190.5 approx

x=191 (number of students can not be in the form of decimal)

now, put this value in two grade students = 524-x

=524-191

=333

now number of one grade students take school bus for school are 191 and two grade students take school bus for school are 333.
