Perimeter = 84 ft

Let the width of rectangle be x 

Then, Length of rectangle is 2x + 3

Formula:

Perimeter = 2(length + width)

84 = 2(2x + 3 + x)

84 = 2(3x + 3)

84 = 6x + 6

6x = 84 - 6

6x = 78

x = 78/6

x = 13

So, width = 13 ft

Length = 2(13) + 3

= 26 + 3

= 29 ft
