Let the width of rectangle be x feet

Then, Length of rectangle be (x+5) feet

Perimeter = 34 feet

Formula : Perimeter = 2(l+b)

Now, putting values

34 = 2(x+5 + x)

34 = 2(2x+5)

34/2 = 2x + 5

2x + 5 = 17

2x = 17 -5

2x = 12

x = 12/2

x = 6

Then, Length = 6+5 = 11 feet

Hence, Length and width of rectangle are 11 and 6 respectively.
