Lets try and remove the brackets on the left by multiplying the 2 with the bracket (b-2).
3-2b+4=2-7b
Lets put the variables on one side and the numbers on the other side. Every variable or number that will change signs, will have their sign changed from a + into a - and vice versa.
-2b+7b=2-3-4
5b=-1-4
5b = -5
Divide both sides with 5.
5b/5 = -5/5
b=-1
