Given : Number of pencils Rosy has =  16 pencils 

& Number of erasers Rosy has = 24 erasers 

 

Ratio of pencil and eraser = 16/24 = 2/3 or 2:3

 

So, in every packet there will be 2 pencils and erasers 

number of packets = Total pencils/pencils in one packet 

                                  =  16/2

 

Hence, Rosy can make 8 packets.
