slope form of a line => (x2-x1)=m(y2-y1)

where (x1, y1) are coordinates of one point of line and (x2,y2) are coordinates of another point of line and m  is called slope of line

given that:-  vertices of quadrilateral  are A(2,2), B(1,5) C(5,3), D(4,6)

find:- what is the slope of line segment BA

coordinates of B=(1,5)=(x1,y1)

coordinates of A=(2,2)=(x2,y2)

put these values in slope form =>  (x2-x1)=m(y2-y1)

(2-1)=m(2-5)

1= -3m

m= -⅓

so the slope of line is -⅓
