Let one side of rectangle be x

Then, other side of rectangle is x - 3

We know, Perimeter of rectangle = 2(L + B)

Perimeter = 54

54 = 2(x + x - 3)

2x + 2(x - 3) = 54

Hence, option 2 is correct.

Solving the equation, we get

2x + 2x - 6 = 54

4x = 54 + 6

4x = 60

x = 60/4

x = 15

And, 15 - 3 = 12

Hence, dimensions of rectangle is (15,12).
