Given: perimeter of rectangular field = 168m

Let the width be x

Then,  length is 2x

Formula: perimeter= 2(l+w)

Substituting values, we get

168 = 2(2x+x)

168 = 2(3x)

168 = 6x

Dividing both sides by 6, we get

6x/6 = 168/6

x = 28

So, width is 28 m.

Now, Length = 2x

= 2×28 = 56 m

Thus, length and width of rectangular field are 56m and 28m respectively .
