It is essential for a person who is already mature enough or old enough to have a job, since it is the basic concept of society, whereas a person needs to work in order to survive. In our life we have our wants and need which we cannot buy without money, hence having a job means that there is financial security that you'll be able to survive your life due to the fact that you have money to buy your needs. For investors, or to businessman, they do not need a job since they already have a regular cash flow, which is acquired to the different asset classes, such as mutual funds, stocks, bonds, and other forms of investments.
