At a right triangle angle, C measures 40 degrees. The hypotenuse of the triangle is 10in length. Then the approximate length of the side adjacent to angle C

By using the Pythagorean theorem

K^2=A^2+L^2

Given that=40°, K=10 and L=?

Taking that, sin (thita)= L/K

Sin(40°)= L/10

Sin (90°-60°)=L/10

In the first quadrant sin(90°-60°)= cos60°=½

Cos60°=L/10

½=L/10

L= 5 answer.
