I have a 48in. Wide steel coil and the weight of the coil is 10,800 kegs. But I cut the coil 0.5 in. What is the weight of the 0.5 in. Coil. Can you show me an example of how to dove this problem

given that :- 48in. Wide steel coil have weight 10,800 kegs here total coil = 48 in. , total weight of coil=10800 kegs

if the coil 0.5 in. cut then What is the weight of the 0.5 in. Coil=?

now first we get the weight of 1 in. coil by dividing total weight of coil by total coil:-

1 in. coil weight=total weight of coil/total coil

                            = 10800/48

                            =225 kegs (weight in 1 in.coil)

now, to get the weight in 0.5 in. coil we have to multiply the amount of 1 in coil weight with the 0.s in coil

weight in 0.5 in. coil = 225*0.5

=112.5 kegs (weight in 0.5 in. coil)
