In order to express 7/20 with a denominator of 100, that means that we need to find a number, that if we multiply 20 with that number it will be equal with 100
so: 20*x=100
x=100/20=5
so the denominator needs to be multiplied with 5 so the denominator is now 100
but with 5 should the nominator be multiplied as well (top part of the fraction)
so we will have (7 *5)/( 20 * 5 ) = 35/100
