Let the age of youngest sibling be x

Then, age of older sibling be x+1

And, age of oldest sibling be x+2

According to question: x + x +1 + x +2 = 39

   3x + 3 = 39

   3x = 39 - 3

   3x = 36

Dividing both sides by 3, we get

  3x/3 = 36/3

    x = 12

So, the youngest sibling is 12 year old.
