Earthworms have two different types of muscles that help them move. These muscles are the circular muscles and the longitudinal muscles, hence there are also the bristles which are called setae. This setae also allows movement for the Earthworms, through the grab and move mechanism. The setae act as an anchor in front of the body, and it is followed by the longitudinal muscles which shorten the worm's body.
