Let the number of child tickets be x

And, number of adult tickets be y

According to question,

2x = y ….1

6.40x + 9.80 y = 832 ….2

Now, putting value of y from equation 1 into equation 2, we get

6.40x + 9.80(2x) = 832

6.40x + 19.6x = 832

26x = 832

x = 832/26

x = 32

So, 32 child tickets were sold.
