Answer: Electrons have been removed from the glass object in the rubbing process.

Because, in every atom proton and neutron remain in the nucleus , whereas electron are revolving around the nucleus . So , electron can be transfer more easily form one atom to the another as compared to proton . Electrons are mobile in nature . They can easily move .

So , postive charge on the glass  develops due to removal of electrons from it . 

Therefore, election from  the glass object.
