given that:- 1 gallon of paint covers 300 square feet of area

given rectangle surface is 600 feet by 20 feet

it means length of rectangle area=600 feet

width of rectangle area = 20 feet

total area of rectangle= length*width

                      =600*20

                      =12000 square feet

if in 1 gallon 300 square feet area is covered then 12000 square feet area covered in :-

12000/300=40 galloon
