A bag contains 10 marbles: 2 are green, 4 are red, and 4 are blue. Tom chooses a marble at random, and without putting it back, chooses another one at random. What is the probability that the first marble is blue and the second is green? Write your answer as a fraction in simplest form.

Number of green marbles  = 2

Number of red marbles  = 4

Number of blue marbles  = 4

Total = 10

Probability = favorable outcome/Total outcome 

Probably of getting blue marble = 4/10

= 2/5

Now, remaining marbles = 9

Probability of getting green marble = 2/9

Total Probability = 2/5 × 2/9

= 4/45

 

So, probability of getting green marble and green marble is 4/45.
