(a) We know that sum of supplementary angles are 180°

And, one angle is 140°

So, the supplementary angle = 180° - 140°

= 40°

 

(b) we know that sum of complementary angles are 90°

And, one angle is 36°

So, the complementary angle = 90° - 36°

= 54°
