Lets try and remove the brackets by multiplying the 8 with the bracket (2x-14).
8(2x-14)=16x-112
16x-112+13=4x-27
Lets put the variables on one side and the numbers on the other side. Every variable or number that will change signs, will have their sign changed from a + into a - and vice versa.
16x-4x=-27+112-13
12x=85-13
12x=72
Divide both sides with 12.
12x/12 = 72/12
x=6
