So we have this equation -3 (4+3x)= -(3x - 48) and we need to find the value of X. In order to solve this one, we will try to put the variable x on one side of the equation and the numbers on the other side of the equation. The sign will change from + to - and vice versa for every number and variable that will change sides.

First thing, lets multiply 3 with the bracket (4+3x).

Also on the other side of the equation, lets remove the bracket away, but since there is a - in front of the bracket, the sign inside will change from a - into a + and vice versa.

-12-9x=-3x+48

Lets put the x on one side and the numbers on the other side.

-9x+3x=48+12

-6x=60

Divide both sides with -6.

-6x/(-6) = 60/(-6)

x = -10
