Justify the steps.
Solution:
In order to add numbers simply start first with the unit or one's place.
The one's place of each number are as follows:
9, 8 and 1
9 + 1 = 10
10 + 8 = 18
Now add the tens places of the numbers, but we will also include 18's tens place which is 1
2 + 1 + 2 + 1= 6
Since 18 has unit's place of 8, we will include it in 6.
Therefore,
29 + 18 + 21 = 68
