First of all we will remove the brackets on the right side

In front of the bracket there is a minus sign (-) so that means that when we will remove the brackets, the sign inside the bracket will change from + to - and vice versa

so we will have: 15=5-c-7

lets put c in one side and the numbers on the other side

c=5-7-15

c=-17
