We have,

(1-sin^2x/cosx)= (sin2x/2sinx)

Here, we have to prove LHS = RHS

So, LHS :

(1-sin^2x/cosx) 

We know 1 - sin²x = cos²x

So, cos²x/cosx

= cosx

Now, RHS :

(sin2x/2sinx)

We know, sin2x = 2sinxcosx

So, 2sinxcosx/2sinx

= cosx

 

Hence, LHS = RHS
