Gravity is what causes a ball to roll  faster and faster as time goes by.

Gravity can be defined as natural force that pulls object towards the center of the Earth, meaning that objects will fall down, such as when jumping because of gravity. Without gravity, like in outer space, the object will float forever, thus gravity also affects the weight that an object has. The weight of a stone here on earth will differ to its weight on Mars, this is due to gravity.

The acceleration due to gravity can be measured as 9.8 m/s^2, meaning that the object accelerates at a rate of 9.8 m/s^2
