Moist soil often contains organic minerals that is essential for the growth and development of seeds/plants. The moisture from the soil will give the seed the nutrient that it needs in order to grow. It is already a fact that a seed can grow faster in a land area with high moisture compared to an area with moderate or even no moisture at all.
