Ada Lovelace Augusta Ada Byron also known as Lady Lovelace was the first known programmer. She's an English mathematician and a writer known for her works on Charles Babbage's early Analytical Engine, an early engine that is general purpose computer. Her notes on the engine is what have been recognized as the first Algorithm intended to be processed by a machine. Through this, she's often to be described as the first ever known computer programmer.
