In the United States Congress, each house has its own leadership structure. The most important leader in the House of Representatives is the Speaker of the House. As of my knowledge cutoff in 2023, the Speaker of the House is Nancy Pelosi, though this position can change after each Congress depending on elections and party decisions.

In the Senate, the most important leader is a little more complex to determine due to the nature of the Senate's functioning. Formally, the Vice President of the United States is the President of the Senate and presides over its sessions. However, the actual leading role in terms of legislative agenda and party leadership falls to the Senate Majority Leader, who as of my last update, is Charles Schumer.
