So we have 2 equations:
- 1. 2x-5y=-5
2. x+2y=11
In order to find out the solution pair, so x and y, we have to express them in relation with each other. In this case i will express x in relation with y
Lets have a look at the second equation
x+2y=11
x=11-2y
This x we will substitute on our first equation
2x-5y=-5
2(11-2y)-5y=-5
22-4y-5y=-5
22-9y=-5
22+5=9y
9y=27
y=3
We know that x=11-2y so:
x=11-2*3
x=11-6=5
The solution pair is (5,3)
