Where the carbon dioxide in yeast come from?

When the reaction occur , yeast cells use glucose (sugar) and oxygen (from the air) to produce energy. Yeasts feed on sugars and starches, which are abundant in bread dough! They turn this food into energy and release carbon dioxide gas as a result. This process is known as fermentation. So by this , carbon dioxide releases .
