Infectious disease means that it can be transmitted or transferred from person to person. It is considered contagious, meaning a person in contact with another person carrying a certain infectious disease may get infected as well via  through cough, saliva. skin contact, or even sexual intercourse. Some examples of infectious disease are; HIV/AIDS, tuberculosis, malaria, polio, and Covid 19. 

Non-infectious disease, on the other hand are non communicable disease, this means that they cannot be transmitted from one person to another. They developed as a result of sedentary lifestyle, genetics, or improper way of living. Common examples of non-infectious diseases include; diabetes, heart ailment, stroke and cancer.
