Asexual and sexual reproduction is very different and I cannot think of any thing in common in them. Asexual reproduction involving 1 parent and the offspring is genetically identical to the parent. Sexual reproduction on the other hand is the combination of genes from 2 parents and the offspring is genetically unique. If there is anything in common in them it might be that their offspring's inherits the traits of the parents to produce asexually or sexually.
