In our expression, -2.4-(+1.2) lets try and remove the brackets in order to complete the actions. 

Since there is a - in front of the bracket, that means that it will change the sign of all the digits inside of the bracket. So from +1.2 it will go into -1.2. 

Now we have:

-2.4-1.2=

=-3.6
