The method of reproduction for bacteria is binary fission.

During the process of binary fission, the chromosome in the cell of the bacteria makes an identical copy of itself, whereas it is followed by the cell dividing into two new daughter cells. Since the bacteria made the exact identical copy of itself, this means that the daughter cells that was made during cell division are the same as the parent cell or the bacteria. In this way, bacteria can reproduce asexually without the need of a partner or other reproductive factors.
